WhatsApp

WhatsApp is reportedly working with Microsoft gives the proper desktop app for PCs. Because right now we are using WhatsApp Web for chatting with friends. And Most important is Facebook has already launched the app for messaging it’s called (Messenger). So WhatsApp also planning for the proper App feature for PCs.

I think it will be a great initiative by WhatsApp for planning those things.  So it’s sure WhatsApp will deliver a proper desktop app because Windows Central suggests confirmed this news, So WhatsApp confirmed the launched date as soon as possible.

Concept art for a Universal Windows platform (UWP) version of WhatsApp showed up on Behance before being promptly removed. It appeared to be a native Windows app with UWP design tenets like acrylic transparency, the report said.

WhatsApp May Be Working on a Windows App for PCs

Furthermore, details share about this project by WhatsApp and Microsoft. But now WhatsApp and Microsoft work on this project but they are close to this project. So let’s hope App will be launched as soon as possible.

One thing I will share with you WhatsApp already have an app for the desktop. but it’s basically for company’s purpose web app.

While the web app is pretty functional, it misses out on important features like voice and video calling. I think this is the more important because messenger has provided us video calling and audio calling facilities.

And most important is, there is nothing laggy and buggy in the messenger and while we are doing audio and video call, both facilities performed well. So tough competition for WhatsApp.

This UWP project, on the other hand, clearly shows buttons necessary for calls. it also looks quite impressive.

Rumor: Oppo Planning To Use Samsung’s Edge Displays On Their Smartphones

Published

on

Oppo

Oppo will be planning to use Samsung’s edge display on their smartphones, It would be great for the oppo users. We know that Samsung has been using that display on their smartphones, Those are really expensive.

Oppo is reportedly looking to go the Samsung way and integrate the South Korean company’s ‘Edge’ display on one of its upcoming smartphones.

Oppo is said to be already we are planning to use the display in one of the smartphones. Also, Launched the phone as soon as possible in July or August.

Oppo will launch the Oppo Find X on June 20, and it could be possible that the Find X smartphone may be seen sporting these Edge displays.

A Some reports from South  Korean publication, Oppo has placed an order for 6.42-inch flexible panels. And each  OLED flexible panel will cost Oppo $100 (roughly Rs. 6,700).

So I think upcoming oppo phones will not come with a cheap price tag because these panels are very costly, That’s why Samsung use these panels in their smartphones, above 40-50 thousand range.

As we know that, Oppo will launch the Oppo Find X in June, And this phone comes with the 5x dual camera optical zoom setup, a Snapdragon 845 processor, and up to 8GB of RAM. With these flagship level specifications,

Find X could also be the smartphone that sees this flexible Samsung panel integration. And now Samsung is the largest supplier of OLED panels.

LG also planning to use the Edge display from a long time even LG invested heavily in this panels.  So now Oppo doing a great job,  Oppo was launched their previous phones, So they always focus on the camera setup and use the outdated feature.

But last month Oppo was launched the realme1,  And seriously  one of the best phone represented by the oppo and important part is price, Realme1 is the budget segment device by oppo,

While we know that the Oppo Find X is coming on June 20,  Pricing and availability is still a mystery because Oppo doesn’t reveal the price.

We will know only then whether these displays are integrated in the Find X,  Or more expectation from Oppo will do a  great work expect from the display.

Rumor:Xiaomi Planning for MediaTek Helio P60 Processor Uses In Mid-Range Chipsets

Published

on

Xiaomi Smartphone Powered by MediaTek Helio P60 Processor May Launch in 2018

Xiaomi has already launched their mid-range phone in last year. So now Xiaomi started the year by launching the Redmi Note 5 series and last year Xiaomi had launched the MiA1,  I think this is successful phone launched by Xiaomi and fans also like this phone,  While all the smartphones have a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC onboard. But this time Xiaomi deciding to use the MediaTek processor in their smartphones. It seems that MediaTek has completely shifted focus towards its premium mid-range phones.

And recently MediaTek had announced the helio P60,  especially for mid-range devices at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018.  So recently Xiaomi has launched the mid-range phones in Indian market.  So this great Xiaomi moves on to MediaTek Processor.  But the problem is this Xiaomi budget phone gives the best performance with MediaTek helio P60.

Because of last 2 to 3 years, Xiaomi only focusing on the mid-range chipset device. And in this device, Xiaomi use the Snapdragon SoC processor and no doubt Snapdragon doing a great job with mid-range devices.

Redmi Note 5 series

Redmi Note 5

As per a report,  Xiaomi will launch a Helio P60 powered smartphone in Q2 this year.  The report also adds that Vivo and Oppo will be the other two smartphone manufacturers who will launch smartphones with the MediaTek Helio P60 SoC.   And this is the great news for MediaTek as Oppo and Vivo,  Xiaomi these are top companies in India and as well as China.  And mostly Indians use the Xiaomi and Oppo, Vivo devices.

The report also states that the MediaTek could see as much as $60 billion revenue generated in Q2 this year, making it the highest in the past six quarters.

Helio P60 is built on the latest 12 nm FinFET process from TSMC along with the four Cortex A73 cores and the Mali G72 GPU.  As per the report, It is very much possible that we see many more mid-range smartphones powered by the P60 in the coming months.

As a successor to the Helio P23 and Helio P3,  And this time MediaTek claimed to deliver up to 70 percent of CPU performance boost over the former SoCs.  Additionally, it is claimed to be 12 percent more power efficient overall and up to 25 percent more power efficient in highly demanded by the public for gaming purpose because of some time MediaTek processor lag in the game.

The Helio P60 currently competes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 that debuted in May last year. So that’s great news for MediaTek.

But the major problem with MediaTek processor doesn’t give the best performance like heavy games and users face some hanging problem.  That’s why the first preference is Snapdragon processor.  According to may last year helio P60 done a great job,  Performance also up to the point.

Xiaomi is reportedly also planning for a bulk order of another of MediaTek’s 12 nm SoC,  Possibly the Helio P70, in the second half of the year.
